The Studio


The Studio is designed for creative souls and artists who sense a
longing in their heart to explore their God-given creative voice
as a way to draw closer in relationship with Jesus.
Reminder: The Studio is for people of all artistic abilities
who desire to encounter God through their creativity and the arts.

The Studio meets every Wednesday of every other month from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the coffee bar rooms E and F at Living Word Community Church.
  • September 2011 ~ Urban Art: when heaven scrapes the pavement ($5 fee)
  • November ~ Imago Dei: in His image - creating mixed media self portraits ($8 fee)
  • January 2012 ~ Visual Prayer Journals: book binding ($10 fee, limited to 18 people)
  • March ~ Exploring the Significance of Color ($10 fee for supplies and materials)
  • May ~ Beyond Words: Creating Art Through Prayer ($10 fee for supplies)
  • July ~ Don't Fear the Doodle - no fee
  • September ~ Phonography: Seeing God Through the Lens (and Apps) - no fee
  • November ~ TBD
Each month the studio has a specific theme or topic, in which the weeks will build upon the other. Because of this, it's best to attend every Wednesday of that month. This way you will get the most out of it.
