Sign Language in Silver by Josh Holmes

The Collection

Josh Holmes created this collection of five forks bent into hand positions: Pointing Index Finger, Peace, Closed Fist, I Love You sign, and Thumbs Up. As part of his Modern Art class final  he needed to find a gallery to display this collection and then ask for feedback from those who observe his work. You can click here to see his collection in more detail or stop by The Gallery @ Common Grounds in the Living Word Coffee Bar to see his work in person. You can find it in the gallery display cabinet just inside the Coffee Bar entrance.

He'd appreciate your feedback, so please click "comments" below and share your thoughts about his installation. Note: all comments will be moderated so you won't see your comment right away.

Thank you so much for participating in Josh's Modern Art final.

ArtistShare at The Studio

Harbor Lights by deAnn Roe (c) 2008
This Wednesday is The Studio - the last one until September. Yes, we'll be breaking for the summer. Fear not, when we return in the fall, The Studio will be new and improved! I'll share more about that this Wednesday. I hope you can make it.

We'll be doing an ArtistShare so please bring your latest project, finished or not, to The Studio. We'll have a time to share with others where we are on the creative journey, talk about our project and hopefully, inspire one another!!

A reminder: we meet from 7:00-8:30 PM this Wednesday, May 18 in the Coffee Bar rooms E & F. As usual, there will be coffee and something sweet to munch on.

See you then!

Grace & peace,
deAnn

Photo Walk - Lancaster

Many of you have joined Andy with Visual Realia on previous Photo Walks in York and Hanover. Now, he's leading a Photo Walk in downtown historical Lancaster on Saturday, May 21. If you love the history of our old cities and the unique architecture that fill them, you don't want to miss any Photo Walk with Visual Realia! Andy is awesome and you'll learn so much and get some fabulous photos for your collection or future gallery exhibit. I hope you can make it! Click the Visual Realia links above for more information.
